Acetone is a colourless volatile transparent liquid with a sweet odour and a pungent sweet taste.
Uses
It is used as a solvent for paints, varnishes, lacquers, resins, fats, waxes adhesives, printing inks, plastics and pharmaceuticals.  It is also used as a degreasing agent and for cleaning and drying precision equipment.
