MEK is used as a solvent in nitrocellulose coatings, acrylic coatings, vinyl films, paint removers, lacquers, varnishes, cements, adhesives, magnetic tapes, printing inks. It also acts as a solvent for various polymerization and synthesis reactions. It is a degreasing chemical and also used in the manufacturing of smokeless powder, and cleaning fluids. |
